Designed for Ultimate Privacy and Performance

We believe private communication is a fundamental right. Namaste is being built around that principle.

🔐

End-to-End Encrypted

New chat messages and attachments are encrypted in your browser. Private identity keys remain in that browser's protected local storage.

🚫

No Advertisements

No sponsored interruptions, no promotional banners, and no algorithmic timeline manipulation. Pure, distraction-free messaging.

🛡️

No Behavioral Tracking

Namaste has no advertising profile or behavioral ad feed. Operational metadata required for authentication, delivery, and calls is still processed.

📞

HD Voice & Video Calling

WebRTC voice and video calling with STUN/TURN fallback helps calls connect across different networks while media remains protected by DTLS-SRTP.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Namaste security, features, and platform policies.

1. Is Namaste really free? ▾
Yes. The current Namaste web experience is available without subscription charges or advertising tiers.
2. Is Namaste open source? ▾
Namaste uses open browser standards including Web Crypto, AES-256-GCM, ECDH P-256, WebRTC, DTLS, and SRTP. A public source-code licence has not yet been announced.
3. Can Namaste read my messages? ▾
New chat text and uploaded media are encrypted in the browser before storage. The service stores encrypted payloads plus delivery metadata; your browser's private identity key is not uploaded.
4. What data does Namaste collect? ▾
Namaste processes your verified phone number, chosen profile, chat membership, timestamps, delivery state, and call-signalling metadata needed to operate the service. New message bodies and uploaded chat media are stored encrypted.
5. Are group chats encrypted? ▾
Yes. New group messages are encrypted separately for each current group member whose device encryption key is available.
6. Are photos and videos encrypted? ▾
Yes. New chat attachments are encrypted with a fresh AES-256-GCM file key in the browser before upload; that key is then shared inside each recipient's encrypted message envelope.
7. Are voice messages encrypted? ▾
Yes. New voice notes are encrypted in the browser before upload using the same protected attachment flow.
8. Are voice and video calls end-to-end encrypted? ▾
Yes. All voice and video calls are established using WebRTC with mandatory DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security) and SRTP (Secure Real-time Transport Protocol) encryption for direct peer-to-peer hardware protection.
9. Can I delete my account? ▾
Yes. From an authenticated session, open Settings → Account → Delete my account. The service deletes your authentication account, profile, registered devices, owned status entries and associated call-signalling records.
10. Can I export my data? ▾
A complete account export is not yet available. Individual decrypted attachments can be opened from a signed-in, authorized browser.
11. What happens if I lose my phone? ▾
You can sign in again with OTP, but encrypted history tied to a lost browser key may not be recoverable. Secure key backup and remote session termination are not yet available.
12. Can I use the same account on multiple devices? ▾
Phone-number sign-in works in supported browsers, but seamless encrypted multi-device key sync is not yet available. Use one primary browser for consistent encrypted history.
13. Does Namaste work on iPhone? ▾
Yes. Namaste runs smoothly on iPhone and iPad via Safari and WebKit, supporting full PWA (Progressive Web App) home-screen installation and calling.
14. Is there an Android app? ▾
Namaste is available as an installable web app in supported Android browsers. A native Android APK is not currently distributed.
What are Broadcast Channels and why are they useful? ▾
Namaste Channels allow businesses, organizations, and creators to broadcast announcements, photos, and updates to unlimited followers. Unlike standard group chats, subscriber phone numbers are strictly hidden from other members to protect personal privacy. All shared media attachments, files, and broadcasts are delivered through authenticated and encrypted content distribution channels.
15. Does Namaste have advertisements? ▾
No, absolutely not. Namaste is completely ad-free. We do not display banner ads, popups, commercial sponsorships, or promotional feeds inside your conversations.
Privacy by Design

Your Privacy Is Not Negotiable.

Namaste encrypts new chat content in your browser and uses authenticated access controls so only current chat members can fetch encrypted conversations and files.
